Picket Fences! Part 73Over at Ryan and Carrie Carlson's house . . .
Ryan entered the house as quietly as he could.
He got into bed.
He scooted up close behind his sleeping wife and went to sleep.
Later that morning Jeffery woke up and started crying.
Ryan got up and took him out of his crib . . .
He changed the grumpy toddler's diaper.
He placed Jeffery in his highchair and gave him a bowl of cereal.
When Joseph woke up . . .
Carrie tended to his needs.
Then she placed him in his highchair and gave him a bowl of ceral.
Ryan fixed breakfast for him and Carrie.
"The twins' birthday is tomorrow. Are we going to have their party at your dad's place?", asked Carrie.
"Yeah, the family's going to celebrate Megan Grace and Jonah's birthdays, too", said Ryan.
"Do you think it will be okay if my mom and dad came?", she asked.
"Yeah sure", he answered.
Carrie got up from the table, ran into the bathroom and threw up into the toilet.
"Oh no, could I be pregnant?", she wondered.
She turned around and saw Ryan watching her with a disgusted look on his face.
"I told you I don't want no more babies", he said.
"It's too late now?", she strugged.
Ryan didn't answer. He just looked sick.
The next afternoon at Rhys' place . . .
Rhys, Claudia and their daughter Hannah welcomed the invited guests to a big birthday party . . .

And Carrie's dad Peter Edwards had come to see their grandsons grow p.
Jonah was the first to grow up when Noah brought the infant to his birthday cake.
Everybody blew the birthday horns and claps the clappers.
Noah did the "baby toss" . . .
And Jonah returned to his father's arms . . .
A cute toddler.
The next to grow up was Megan Grace, who came to her birthday cake.
She made a wish and blew out the candles.
Everybody blew the birthday horns and claps the clappers.
Then in a flash of colored lights . . .
She grew up into a pretty teenager.
Next, Ryan brought Joseph to his birthday cake as everybody cheered.
He helped the toddler blow out the candles.
Joseph did the "toddler dance" . . .
And he grew up into a cute child.
The last to grow up was Jeffery when Ryan brought him to his birthday cake.
He helped the toddler blow out the candles.
Jeffery did the "toddler dance" . . .
And also grew up into a cute child.
Jeffery and Joseph look just alike but are different as night and day.
The following are some candid shots from the party: After the party was over . . .Megan Grace, who was finally old enough, left to go home by herself.
Carrie went home with the twins . . .
And Ryan took Matthew home.
They walked into the livingroom . . .
And were greeted by Jennifer who was holding her and Nick's daughter Elizabeth.
"How was the party? Did your twins grow up well?"
"The party was nice. Just the family. Both of my boys grew up well", he said.
"Well, that's good", she said.
Joseph and Jeffery are as big as me now!", said Matthew
"Yes, I expect they are, but you'll be a teenager in a few days", she said.
"Oh, then I'll be bigger than them", he said.
"Dad, can I spend the night at your place? I can come home with the twins on the schoolbus one afternoon", said Matthew.
"Sure, if it's okay with your mama", said Ryan.
"Mama, can I?", he asked.
"Nick, do you think it'll be alright?", she asked.
"Sure, I think he should be best friends with his brothers. I can't imagine not being best friends with mine", said Nick.
"We'd like to invite the twins to Matthew's birthday party on Saturday afternoon. Will they be able to come?", she said.
"Sure, I'll bring them over and then pick them up after the party", said Ryan.
Matthew hugged his dad goodbye . . .
Then Ryan left to go home.
Across town at Jessica's place . . .
The telephone rang and Jessica answered . . .
"Hello!"
"Hey, would you like to go out with me?"
"I'd love to go out with you. Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise. You'll see when we get there", he laughed.
Max arrived a few minutes later. Jessica was glad to see that he was dressed in casual clothes as she was.
He came in the door and was greeted with a romantic hug.
Are you ready to go?", he asked.
"Yes, but I would like to know where we're going", she answered.
"Nope, you'll see when we get there", he said.
"Well . . . alright let's go", she said.
"Is where we're going very far?", she asked.
"You're see", he said.
After they had been walking for quite a distance they came to a small wooded lot.
"This is really beautiful. I love being outdoors", said Jessica.
"I knew you'd like it", he said.
"You did, did you?", she said.
"I was right. Won't I?", he said.
"Well . . . yes you were", she agreed.
Then he gave her a romantic kiss.
"Did you like that?", he asked.
"Well . . . yes", she said.
"I knew you would ", he laughed.
"Let's go over there and sit in the swing", she said.
"Okay, anything you say", he said.
"Come over here. I won't bite", he said.
"Well . . . alright", she said.
"Did you enjoy meeting your grandfather and your siblings yesterday at the birthday party?", she asked.
"Yeah, they accepted me as one of them without no problem", said Max, "They're a real friendly bunch."
"I would imagine they're use to welcoming new siblings by now", she said.
"Yeah, you're right", he agreed.
"My dad must have been quite a lover before he got married. Did you know that five of us have different mamas?", said Max.
"Yes, I'd heard gossip", she said.
"I'm quite the lover myself or so I've been told", he bragged.
"Oh really?", she asked.
"Yeah, really", he said.
Then as if to prove it, he gave her a passionate kiss.
And Jessica kissed him back with a passion of her own.
"Wow! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree", she said.
"Huh?", he asked puzzled.
"It's just an old saying", she said, "It's not important."
"Let's go to my place and order a pizza for lunch. Maybe you'll get to meet my mama", he laughed.
"Well . . . alright I guess", she said.
"Max, how did you find this beautiful lot?", she asked.
"My dad owns it. He inherited it from his grandma", he answered.
"It would be a wonderful place to build a house. Don't you think?", she said.
"Yeah, it would, but my dad don't want to have the trees cut down. He keeps it as a sort of memorial to grandma Grace", he said.
They left the wooded lot to go to Max's place.
After a long walk . . .
They arrived at Max's place.
To be continued . . . This is the town from my game where all the drama happens.
