Hello my buds!  mickeywave  Last week began a much needed makeover for our home. Peeps came out, washed it down and put Stucco on. They did a good job, but I did notice that on the East side of the house that faces the street, it looks "Two-Toned". The top is darker than the bottom half. Color is not blended. Made a phone call to have them come back to re-do the East side. Can't believe they were thinking that was 'Okay'...  scratch

They didn't clean up the stuff they left behind, so I went out and cleaned up all the excess cement and all.

This week, we get our new sliding glass door and the guy installing our door is such a good worker. Needless to say, the person who came out measured our door wrong, so this guy has to do some cutting and trimming. And he's a "1-Man Crew!" Great worker... Cleans as he goes. Vacuums and just takes pride in his work. I'm gonna give him a good report for sure.

Because of the measurement issue, it's gonna take him longer to do the job. It's amazing the work that goes into the installation. If the measurements were correct, all that was needed was for this guy to slide out the frame and slide the new frame and doors in. You can tell when someone takes pride in the work they do.

Today is one of the windiest days by far. With that big hole in the wall my allergies kicked in full gear. All of that stuff - dust, pollen and all blew right into our house. Anyway, looking forward to the finished product.

Painters may come this week to finish their part. Then the outside will be all done. I plan to paint myself inside. I love to paint. Just trying to decide which colors I want to go with.

He's all done, and my door looks great! extrahappy

I am so tired. Can hardly hold my eyeballs open. Waiting again for the painters to show up and finish one last thing. My front door frame needs a paint job and then after that, we are done. Sure did take a long time to do.

They started working on the 5th, by steam cleaning the outside, then they came back 6th and 7th and put the stucco on. I was not happy with the one wall facing street, so they had to redo that entire wall. Then on the 11th, the guy came to install our sliding glass door. That was stressful, as it was the wrong size door.

He ended up cutting to make the frame wider. It was shorter than before so the top of the door frame was shorter, but he got it in. When I went to hang my binds, I noticed there were holes in the walls. I was gonna seal them up and paint over it, but Richard said no! Let them come back and fix it.

So mad another phone call and complained and the sent someone out to fix the problem. Our door is so nice, and takes little effort to open and close.  dancer extrahappy

The painters came on the 13th and have been here every day up till today - 23rd. Okay, I'm about tired of seeing peeps running around my house, using our tools and ladders to do their job. The stucco guys used our ladders, and so did the painters. What kind of peeps use the customers personal property to do their jobs? Helloooo!
 unhappydance

The stucco guys did a poor job and the painters were talking about the work they did. When the painters put tape up so they wouldn't get paint on the stucco, parts of the stucco came off. I called the General Manager, and asked him to come out to inspect the job. He said he would send out the door guy to fic the holes over my new door, and paint it for us. He said he would send out the stucco guys to redo some areas. So far the have not shown up.

Out of all of these folks working on the house, the only one who showed up on time was the kid who put the door in. Everyone else was late 40 mins to 1hr. You just done do your customers like that.

Anyway, the past 2 weeks have be miserableness, stressful and depressing! I'm sooooo sleepy. I'll be so glad when this is over.. The guy yesterday said he would be here between 9 and 10. Guess what time it is now? 10:50 a.m
