| Hi! I'm in the process of moving my TS2 game. I want to keep it with the progress that I've made and continuing playing. Both computers have the same operating system (WindowsXP). I want to move my TS2 game (as is with all it's progress and CC) from my (old) Toshiba computer to my (new) Dell Computer. I have loaded all of the original TS2 game (I have all the discs and codes) onto my Dell computer. The TS2 game I am currently playing (on the Toshiba) is still intact on the Toshiba. I have all of EPs and SPs. I loaded the TS2 game on the Dell in the suggested order (the order in which they were released). My Toshiba game has all the game patches and, so far, there are none on the Dell computer. I have CC in my Neighborhood, Downloads, SavedSims and LotCatalog files. Will moving the above files also move the Sims that are in my (Toshiba game) BodyShop files? Or, do I need to move files there as well. And, if so, which files? Do I just copy my TS2 game on my Toshiba computer to the desktop and then move it to the Dell computer and then replace the entire TS2 on the Dell computer with the TS2 game from the Toshiba computer? Or, is it better to replace individual files such as the Neighborhood file and the Downloads file, etc.? If so, then which files should be replaced? (By replace, I would remove, for example the Downloads file in it's original form on the Dell computer and with replace it with the Downloads file with the CC that I've downloaded from the Toshiba computer.) Since the game does not allow two neighborhoods with the same number such as N001 for Pleasantview, I know that I, most likely, can't just move, for example the Neighborhoods file from the Toshiba game into the Dell game without removing the Neighborhood file from the Dell TS2 since both games have the N001 Neighborhood which would be Pleasantview. (I know that this applies to the 6 TS2 neighborhoods but not to my custom neighborhoods.) I'm also assuming that the (old) Toshiba game will not automatically over-ride the (new) Dell game. I've searched this site and MTS and haven't been able to find answers to my questions. But, I could have missed the section that would apply. Any help that you can give me would be greatly appreciated including pointing me in the right direction. I'm trying to get my game to a place where I can enjoy playing again. Thank you, in advance, for any help you can give. Lilly | |

| Daisy, the easiest and best way to transfer your game is to copy the Neighborhood, Downloads, Lot Catalog, Saved Sims (if you have any), and Movies files (if you have any) and transfer them to your new computer via flashdrive or DVD. After you've installed your games on your new computer, start your game and play it for about 20 minutes to generate the needed files. When you've done this, you can now swap out the Neighborhoods, Downloads, and any other folders with same folders of your saved game. | |

| Hi CindaLove! I think you mean Lilly rather than Daisy. Looks like you have your flowers mixed up. Thanks you so very much for the information. I didn't think about playing the game on the Dell (new) computer for 20 minutes first to generate the necessary files, but I'll do that and then exchange the files in the (new) Dell with the ones from my Toshiba (old). I'm guessing that I'll have to add the patches at some point as well--unless they will come automatically with the files that I'm transferring. I'm looking forward to getting back into playing my TS2 game again. Lilly

| Not a problem. I thought it was funny, especially since both were flower names and SG members. When I'm up late, I do similar types of things. At times, I even make up works. Lilly | |

| I can see how easily it would be to mix up the two names. Good thing we don't also a Rose and Violet or others with flower names who are also good SG members--or it would be even easily to confuse things. Thanks, again for your help CindaLove. Lilly | |
