Blood Brothers! Part 33 At Boone's Place . . .
Chandar had been sitting by Patience's bedside all night. After seeing her again, he wondered how he had ever thought he could live without her.
Patience finally woke up from her long sleep. She was weak but otherwise felt alright.
"Chandar are you really here or am I dreaming?", she asked.
"I'm here and I promise I won't leave you again", he said.
"I realize now that being here with you and our sons is more important than being a good Comanche brave", he said, "I was a little mixed up in my thinking before."
"That's the best news I've heard in a long time", she said.
"No, the best news is that you're going to be alright", he said, "You lay back down and I'll go tell Boone and the boys."
"Patience is awake!", Chandar told Boone, "She's going to be alright now!"
"Does that mean you're going to be leaving again?", said Boone.
"I'm not going back to the village. I'm going to stay here, if you don't mind", he said.
Tanner hurried into the bedroom to see Patience.
"Mama are you sure you're alright?", he asked.
"I just realized I lost the baby", she said.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine. I have you and your brother", she said giving him a hug.
When Chandar walked into the bedroom, Patience gave him a romantic hug.
Aiden ran into the room and gave his mama a hug.
"Mama I'm so glad you're alright!", he said.
That afternoon Patience and Chandar had walked down to the river.
"You know I couldn't be happier that you've decided to stay here with us, but what about your wife and son in the village", said Patience.
"Pale Moon and me was forced to get married by my father and the Council. She doesn't love me and I don't love her", he said.
"But what about your son? Will he be alright without you?", she asked.
"Chayton has my father and my brother to teach him how to be a good Comanche brave. They will be much better teachers than I could ever be. Besides, I need to start being a good father to our sons", he said.
Then he held her in his arms and kissed her passionately.
The End . . .
