The Sims 2 Patches Section

Hello everyone. In light of all the issues on the official Sims 2 site, we have uploaded the patches for the Sims 2 games for all our members to access, as it is not a question of if, but when the site will shut down for good. We have created a new section specifically for the patches that you can access [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Thanks Cinda. Appreciate all your hard work in getting this for us. I have a question. Now, what are the patches for CD/DVD? Do I need to get these also?

Also, when I loaded the patch for my Bon Boyage. Said I was already update, which is cool. When I load these patches, it's okay to put them in my EA folder, correct? Do I need to put them in my Download folders or is this okay?

In the beginning, the very first game format they came out with was just CD. Then as 'technology progressed, they came out with a DVD version, then after a certain EP (which I cannot recall) they just started printing out DVD's. To choose the correct version of patch for you, simply look at the side of the EP/SP case to see if it's a CD or DVD version.

To install the patches, double-click on the icon. There's no need to place them in your downloads folder unless you want to.

CindaLove (and all the other staff who helped with this decision) for posting the patches for TS2 in a separate section. It's wonderful to know where to find them if I need them. (I know that the TS2 will eventually close down permanently so it's great to know that we have this resource.)

To: BBDoll. That message (which I've gotten already) simple means that you've already downloaded the patch for that particular EP. I've wondered at times if a problem was due to having forgotten a patch, so went to download the patch--only to get that message and find out that all the patches were up-to-date.
