[solved]Packaging Story to the Sims2.com

I created a story, but it keeps saying that my login attempt failed when I go to Package it to the Sims2.com website. Does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening?

I believe this has been happening for everyone for a long time :/ If what I've read is correct, then you can only upload it if you only have the base game installed and no expansion packs. So I don't think you can upload it :(

I never had just the base game... my mother origionally bought me the Double Deluxe version :S

I don't know then :/ Since the sims 3 came out the sims 2 website has been pretty faulty. It may just be in your best interest to just upload it here instead Smile

But I know how you feel, I wrote a story a while back, worked super hard on it and it was going to be my coming back story, and then I couldn't get it to upload to the website. I abandoned the story and all hopes for it. It would be a little extra work to get your story onto here, but it may be worth it Smile

From what I've read over at the BBS, the base game has to be made in 2004, the original release year for that to even to work. (You look on the back of the case for the year release) If your lucky enough to have it, then you would have to uninstall all EPs and SPs in order to upload stories. EA has never fixed that error code 5 problem, and sadly, they never will.

I Have to agree with cindalove there i don't think they are ever going to fix the exchange it is sad to see it the way it is right now compared to how that site used to be, there was always thousands of simmers on it every day uploading, posting, downloading now it is probably lucky to even see a dozen post's a day. they are far too wrapped up in the sims3.com right now and eventually thesims2.com will end and be closed down. so feel free to post your story's here because they will not get lost here unless you delete them yourself and we will continue to support the sims 2 and sims 3 and sims 4 when it comes out Smile
