| Hello everyone! It's been a while since I have played my Sims2 and I noticed that one of my Sims has a Black square box under her when she's walking around. Anyone know what could cause this? Do I need to check my settings?
Oops! Let me back up. It's not me, but my daughter's Simmies who are having this problem. Could it be that her settings are off, or is it a Windows 8 issue?
Thanks, Carlotta | |

| Hi BB, this usually happens when the drivers for the graphics/video card have been updated, and the Shadowing has been automatically set to high in the update. Sometimes the drivers will be updated without your knowing it in a Windows update too, so if your daughter doesn't recall updating them, that's probably why. She will need to change the Shadowing settings for her graphics card in it's control panel (right click on the desktop and select Graphics Properties) from high to medium. If it's not possible for her to do that, then the best and easiest thing to do would be to just rollback the drivers to the previous version. | |

| Thanks for the info Cinda. I will let her know. Right now she is having other issues. She had to remove her games as he comp is doing other stuff. She has such a hard time with computers. (Knock on Wood). Something's always going hay wire. Now she's having Booting problems. Have no idea what that's all about. You know, there are some peeps that should just leave computers alone and do something else. LoL She's one of them. She gets to pressing buttons, deleting stuff, moving stuff... (smh) Anyway, I will keep this info in case she ever gets her comp working right. Thanks again! | |
